NADIA'S STORY

When kids need serious help, Children's Hospital of Orange County has the right combination of experts to treat them. In Nadia's case, a neonatology team was called in to stabilize her while experts from CHOC's Heart Institute formulated a plan to treat her congenital heart defect. Nadia quickly grew strong enough for surgery and became Orange County's first child to undergo the Sano procedure, a technique used to correct her delicate heart condition. As Orange County's only hospital to perform pediatric open-heart surgery, CHOC got Nadia's life back on track. Today, Nadia is a happy and healthy girl. We'd call that a success, wouldn't you?
