SAWYER'S STORY

Imagine your newborn is only 1 in 100,000 people with a life-threatening condition called Hurler Syndrome. As a parent, what do you do? Where do you go? Sawyer's parents turned to the experts at Children's Hospital of Orange County for help. A special team was assembled to treat Sawyer using a breakthrough combination of enzyme therapy and a bone marrow transplant-the first treatment of its kind in the U.S. Today Sawyer is a perfectly healthy little boy. And his parents couldn't be happier.
