MEGAN, MATTHEW AND JACOB'S STORY

Being the mother of three can be challenging enough. But when Claire brought her daughter Megan to us with a condition that had severely hindered her appetite since birth, she had no idea how much more challenging it was about to get. Not long after we successfully treated Megan, her little brother Jacob came to us needing surgery for a severe digestive disorder. Then just when it seemed life was about to get back on track, Megan's twin brother Matthew developed a cancerous tumor that required immediate surgery and months of chemotherapy. No parent could ever prepare for such a whirlwind of adversity, but it's just the sort of thing the experts at Children's Hospital of Orange County specialize in. So today, instead of three sick children, she has three triumphant heroes who are happy, healthy and home.
